Cancelled for 2020
Our Oceanographic Cruise is an interactive, hands-on experience where passengers assist in pulling up the trawl net, measuring and handling the sea life as well as other scientific equipment aboard our research vessel. None of that aligns with the current protocols set forth by the State of CT. If you have already purchased a cruise ticket, the price of your ticket(s) will be transferred to a credit balance in your account within the next week. You can keep it there to use for one of our Sunset Cruises in late August, early September (that is not an interactive Cruise - social distancing can be maintained) or one of our many cruises in the 2021 season. You can also choose to make a donation to Project O or email us to request a refund.
Enjoy a spectacular sunset as you cruise past historic lighthouses and learn about the maritime history of Long Island Sound and Fishers Island Sound. The evening is also a fantastic time to view seabirds and other wildlife! Relax and enjoy the views from our scientific research vessel, the Enviro-Lab and chat with one of our marine science experts, and let time slow down for a night out on the water. The Enviro-Lab has plenty of space on deck for optimal viewing and is equipped with heated cabins and a restroom.

Like professional Marine Scientists, passengers aboard our EnviroLab research vessel should plan on cruising in mildly inclement weather and dress accordingly.
Cancelation & Refund Policy:

You should expect notification of a weather cancellation 12 – 24 hours in advance of your scheduled cruise. YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL AND TEXT MESSAGE (if you have provided that information). In the event Project O must cancel the cruise, due to extreme weather or unforeseen circumstance, we will notify you and make arrangements to reschedule your cruise.
