Project Oceanology seeks in a seasonal Marine Science Intern a positive, energetic, and enthusiastic college student that enjoys science, the outdoors, and working with youth in an educational summer camp setting. Interns should have knowledge of group behavior, social trends and influences, and developmental needs of the adolescent population. The Marine Science Intern will supervise summer campers, develop and teach marine science lessons under the instruction of Project Oceanology educators, and generally provide a safe, supportive, and friendly learning environment.
Project Oceanology seeks in a Junior Counselor an energetic, enthusiastic, high school student that has an interest in the environment. Junior Counselors should demonstrate maturity and effective communication skills. The Junior Counselor will assist the Project Oceanology Camp Instructors and Interns to help campers entering grades 6 - 8 explore the marine science environment while learning about tolerance and understanding in a diverse community.
