Participants in
Summer Marine Studies spend 3 weeks doing an in-depth research
project investigating a variety of topics involving the Poquonnock
River. Learn how to operate scientific equipment such as electronic
meters and microscopes. Teams of 2 to 4 students will prepare
a written and oral presentation.
Students also venture on the Enviro-lab to
Goff Point, Long Island for an overnight camp out. At the end
of the 3 week session, parents are invited to an evening potluck
celebration and multi-media presentation by the students.
Students in grades 7-12 are eligible for this
program, however, they must have COMPLETED 7th grade.
